We are pleased to announce an Open Call for Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) Grants, funded by our NEUTRO-NARPS COST Action (CA24124): 

  • A Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) provides funding for a researcher or innovator to visit a host institution in a different country to carry out a specific research project over a defined period. STSMs offer an excellent opportunity to collaborate with international research teams, gain access to expertise, equipment, or techniques not available at the home institution, and establish long-term scientific collaborations. Host institutions also benefit by welcoming international researchers and strengthening their research networks.
STSM period:

For this call, STSMs may be carried out for a minimum of 5 working days during the period 1–23 October 2026.

Important: As this Grant Period is coming to an end, the STSM report must be submitted immediately after completion of the exchange and no later than 27 October 2026.

Funding:
The maximum funding available for each STSM is up to €4,000 to contribute towards travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs. The requested budget should be proportionate to the duration and location of the STSM. The Evaluation Committee will assess each application based on these factors and the available budget and may award a lower amount where appropriate.

Supporting Documents to be submitted by interested applicants: 
  • STSM Grant Application describing the proposed objectives and work plan, aligned with the NEUTRO-NARPS COST Action objectives on chronic neutropenias (template available on e-COST platform)
  • Confirmation letter/email from the host institution agreeing to host the applicant for the proposed dates and project.
  • Letter of support by home Institution
  • Motivation Letter
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV), including information on Master’s or PhD enrolment (where applicable), current research activities, and publications.
