CA24124 - Network for the Advancement of Neutropenia Research and Patient Support (Neutro-NARPS)

COST Action CA24124 – Network for the Advancement of Neutropenia Research and Patient Support (Neutro-NARPS)

The Kick-off Meeting of the Neutro-NARPS (CA24124) Action will take place in Brussels, on October 24, 2025, at the COST Association Office.

This marks the official launch of the Network for the Advancement of Neutropenia Research and Patient Support (Neutro-NARPS) – a new COST Action dedicated to advancing research, collaboration, and patient care in Chronic Neutropenia (CNP).

Neutro-NARPS brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of leading European and international experts, young investigators, and patient representatives working in the fields of medicine, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and computational biology. The network aims to strengthen the bridge between basic research, translational medicine, and clinical practice by promoting collaboration with patient registries and organizations, biotech and pharmaceutical companies, the European Haematology Association, and Competent Authorities.

The Action’s main objectives include:

  • Advancing understanding of the pathogenesis and natural history of Chronic Neutropenia.
  • Improving diagnosis and prognostic precision, including through machine learning (ML) approaches.
  • Developing and translating novel and targeted therapies, including gene therapy.
  • Evaluating Quality of Life (QoL) and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) to improve care and support.

The Kick-off Meeting will bring together participants from across Europe to discuss the implementation strategy, working group structure, and future plans of the Action. It promises to be an inspiring and interactive event full of ideas and collaboration.

Welcome aboard Neutro-NARPS!
